So a new thing I thought I would try out is assigning new and contemporary lyrics to an old classic. To start off easy, I did one that everyone knows: Imagine, by John Lennon. Now when your done signing it out loud, check out the new one.
Imagine (All The Oil)
Imagine theres no oil/ Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try/ It's easy if you try
No gas to drive with/ No hell below us
Electric cars everywhere/ Above us only sky
Imagine all the plugs charging them/ Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine we have oil/ Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do/ It isn't hard to do
From Alaska and Canada/ Nothing to kill or die for
But none for us/ And no religion too
Imagine all the oil on our land/ Imagine all the people living life in peace
You, you may say/ You, you may say
I'm killing the environment, but I'm not the only one/ I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you will join us/ I hope some day you will join us
And we won't rely on foreign oil/ And the world will be as one
Imagine no Middle Eastern oil/ Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can/ I wonder if you can
No need for OPEC or Qatar/ No need for greed or hunger
A Keystone pipeline/ A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the American jobs/ Imagine all the people sharing the world
You, you may say/ You, you may say
I'm a dumb conservative, but I'm not the only one/ I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you will join us/ I hope some day you will join us
And we won't rely on foreign oil/ And the world will live as one
