Too Short For A Blog IV

This week's Too Short has got some political recap, racial profiling and another What-The-Hell-Is-That-Headline-Doing-On-CNN of the Week along with a video of who I wish I was.

GOP Primaries: Rich Mormon Running Away With It
Spoiler Alert: Mitt Romney is running away with the GOP nomination. With a recent sweep of Wisconsin, Washington D.C. and Maryland, Romney is wrapping up the primaries well before the August convention. Wisconsin was seen as Santorum's last chance to win a state that was full of hicks and religious wack-jobs -- err, I mean "serious conservatives". With the "Massachusetts Moderate" running against Obama, it should turn out to be a pretty good race. Obama has realized that Romney is his primary target in these elections and for the first time attacked him in a public speech by name. That's the Obama liberals want to see: one who isn't afraid to attack back. At this point, the elections are turning into a bad sitcom where there are those guys that no one really likes, but no one wants to tell them to leave, so you keep giving them hints that they need to get out, but they don't really get it and just stick around annoying people.
Yup. This guy.
Racial Profiling? Really?!
Tyler Perry, the most famous black filmmaker in America, is a racist. How do I know he is a racist? His recent outcry over his "hostile" police stop in his home town of Atlanta. As he tells it, Perry was driving  in Atlanta and noticed someone following him, so he made a left turn from a right turn lane. His security team had told him to do this if he thought he was being followed because if it is a police officer, he will pull you over. Spoiler Alert: it was a police officer behind him. Naturally, Perry was pulled over. Here is the racist part: the two officers were white and "did not recognize" who he was, so they treated him like anyone else who broke the law. Things got hostile when Perry attempted to get out of the ticket by telling them who he was, followed by what his security team told him. Eventually, a black officer showed up and recognized who was pulled over. He took aside the other officers and "explained the situation". One of the white officers went back to the car, apologized and told him he was free to go. That isn't racial profiling! It isn't racial profiling if you break the law and are pulled over. The police officers were doing their job and Perry severely overreacted. Another victim of "White America"... in Atlanta.

This video is of Gymkhana, a style of driving made famous by Ken Block. This is what I want to do with my life now. If I was able to do this for one day, it would truly be fantasy camp. I wonder if my Mustang would be able to do this?

Coming up later in the week: Believe's final chapter and the very first Pride of the Yankees.
